E la promessa di non creare dipendenza. Un falso miraggio che nell'America a cavallo tra gli anni Ottanta e Novanta ha creato una delle più drammatiche epidemie. Intere comunità si sono ritrovate, nel giro di poco tempo, nella morsa della tossicodipendenza con tutte le piaghe che questa comporta: lo spaccio, la micro criminalità, la prostituzione, l'impennata della disoccupazione e il degrado.
A raccontare quel periodo buio degli Stati Uniti centrali, ex cuore produttivo di tutto il Paese andato in crisi quando miniere e fabbriche hanno iniziato a chiudere, ci ha pensato Dopesick.
